Thank you for your interest in joining Connecting Streams as a volunteer. Our Intercultural team is looking for volunteers particularly for their Conversation Café. Currently we have Ministry Opportunities is the following areas: Edmonton Calgary LowerMainland - Vancouver and area Moncton Ottawa Regina and more! We also offer Online Conversation Café's. If you do not see your location listed and are interested in our ministry, please email us at info@connectingstreams.com to inquire how you can start something in your area or what other opportunities we may have. Conversation Café is a welcoming place to practice English conversations each week. It helps new comers talk with more confidence to English speakers. The volunteers are not English teachers, but they are happy to talk with participants and answer questions. We are excited to pursue this volunteer opportunity with you. If you are a new volunteer with Connecting Streams, you will be invited into our CS101 orientation course. After completing the orientation, our volunteer coordinator will interview you to discern your fit with Connecting Streams. You can complete the modules on a desktop computer or mobile phone. Your progress will be saved, so if you are not able to complete it in one sitting, you can always simply come back later on any device to pick up where you left off. Please note, even after these steps, placement on a volunteer team is not guaranteed.
